Small leather repairs
With wear and tear, small cuts and tears are inevitable on leather upholstery. At Cambridge Upholstery & Leather Specialist, be it a large scratch in a high wear area, such as a cushion top or a small tear in a non-wear area. Our skilled team can repair and replace within your home using leather adhesive and refinishing the leather surface to bring it back to life.
Leather seating repairs
If your upholstery is too worn to repair, the affected panel or spring system can be replaced. This type of repair would be undertaken in our workshop in Cambridge. The damaged cover would be removed from the furniture and a suitable replacement leather would be sourced, colour matched to your furniture and sewn into the original cover.
Upholstery repairs
When your cushions have lost their shape or no longer provide you with enough support we can supply and fit made to measure foam at Cambridge Upholstery & Leather Specialist. If your cushions are fixed to the furniture, we would need to take the item back to our Cambridge workshop to refill and remodel.
Upholstery cleaning
Whether just to improve the appearance of the sofa to as close to new looking as possible or to remove stains, dirt, and dust that can cause allergies it is well worth getting your leather sofa cleaned at least every 6 to 12 months.
Dye transfer & restoration
Dye transfer normally appears as a grey/blue shadow which will accrue on seat, headrest, arm, and lumber cushions and cannot be removed by cleaning. Our specialists can give your upholstery a face lift; starting with a good clean, to applying a coat of matching colour and finish off with a coat of protective lacquer to transform your old upholstery into brand-new one.
